Congratulations!!
It’s graduation season and time to celebrate! High School, University – even Kindergarten, Fifth & Eighth Grades – we are celebrating them all! Here in the Midwest, we are so happy to welcome the warmer weather that outdoor graduation parties are the way to go. Who isn’t ready to enjoy the fresh air and maybe some snacks around a fire pit? Whether you are picking up a few casual centerpieces or having Andrew’s Garden create a grand affair, flowers add a special touch to create a party to remember!
Create Spaces & Outdoor Rooms
As with planning any Andrew’s Garden event, we start by thinking about what you want the party to feel like. This grad is heading off to California, so they planned a party with tropical flair and a nod to the fun & glamour of Los Angeles. Multiple tents allowed for the creation of separate spaces for lounging, dining, and even taking selfies.
Here, we brought out the ladders and hung lush garlands of tropical greenery over the lounge area of the first tent. We created this extra-dense, all-greenery garland by hand using Palmetto palm, Sago palm, philodendron leaves, scrub ivy, bay leaf, blue star fern, & green hanging amaranth. A nearby faux-greenery wall was the perfect backdrop for selfies. Potted palm trees and house plants were placed around the tent rounding out the feel of an outdoor room.

Dressed Up Dining
The second tent was set up for dining, so we used similar but different garland from end-to-end on the tables. This garland was more narrow with similar greenery, but dressed up with luxurious, jewel-toned flowers including Mokara orchids & Coral Charm peony buds. The greenery in this garland was less full and included one of our favorites – fatsia leaves! You can impress your friends with that one! All-in-all, this was one gorgeous grad party with a funky twist!
